Bringing Back the Southport Community Consultative Committee

One of the first things I did when elected was introduce the Southport Community Consultative Committee (SCCC). The committee ran for many years until meetings stopped in 2022.

One of my goals this year is to bring back the committee so locals can have their voices heard. The purpose of the committee is to bring key Southport stakeholders together, such as representatives from the Southport Police and local government, to discuss issues affecting the Southport CBD and the broader Southport Community.

I am looking for expressions of interest to participate in the committee meetings. If you represent a local business or another key stakeholder, such as a health or education representative, please reach out to my office at Southport@parliament.qld.gov.au if you are interested.

Yours sincerely,

Rob Molhoek MP | State Member for Southport
Shadow Assistant Minister for Mental Health
Shadow Assistant Minister for Drug and Alcohol Treatment
Shadow Assistant Minister for Families and Seniors
