Local businesses joined the Southport Chamber of Commerce, Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce, and Greater Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce as we hosted our Meet the Candidates Breakfast on Thursday, August 27 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It is over 6 months now since what was going to be a fantastic Long Lunch event on the Broadwater Parklands was blown away by a freak storm cell before most of the guests arrived. This was the Chamber’s first in-person event since Covid-19. It was a chance to connect and network with the people that would have been your fellow guests at the Long Lunch and develop new business relationships with attendees

Federal MPs at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre included Moncrieff MP and taskforce chair Angie Bell, Government Services Minister Stuart Robert & Industry. A breakfast program with speakers, attended by about 120 people, was followed by Key Pillar Industry sessions & brief presentations from figureheads and Mayor Tom Tate.
